Treasures of World Heritage in lens of LUMIX cameras
|
When:
20th-29th July
The “traveling” exhibition will be shown in five biggest Polish cities. This is an extraordinary venture of Panasonic Poland and a part of the global project of UNESCO’s “OUR PLACE - The World’s Heritage.” Its purpose is to create the largest collection of photographs in the world with accompanying documentation of sites from the World Heritage List located in 138 countries all over the world. According to the World Heritage Committee, properties inscribed on the List are shared legacy of humanity and have outstanding universal value. Cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. Visitors will have an exceptional opportunity to admire well-known views such as Taj Mahal or Cathedral in Cologne as well as less popular sites, e.g. Tomb of Askia or Robben Island in South Africa. Several photographs of national sites, i.e. Warsaw Old Town, Wieliczka Salt Mine and Wooden Churches of Southern Little Poland, will be also presented during this cultural event.
