Formed by Pierre and Gil Emery, rock group Ultra Orange got together in the mid-90s. Following their first, eponymous album in 1996, they won widespread critical acclaim in the specialized media. At the time, the press hailed them as France’s answer to Garbage. Their next two albums - ‘Snow White’ in 2001 and ‘Seven Lonely Girls’ in 2003, met with the same success.
It was during this period that they met Emmanuelle and became friends.
Although Emmanuelle Seigner was born into a family of artists (her grandfather was the doyen of France’s Comédie Française national theatre), she began her working life as a model. It was as a fashion icon that she made her cinema debut with Jean-Luc Godard, and she has since starred in many films with a number of great directors.
