International Environmental Protection Trade Fair in Poznan

The largest environmental protection trade fair in Europe, POLEKO, started today in Poznan .The 20th annual trade fair brings together environmental protection specialists and economists.
This year’s theme is “Technology for the Earth’s Climate.” Representatives of 800 firms from twenty countries are showing products and educating an anticipated crowd of 20,000 visitors.
Tomasz Wojciechowski, one of the event organizers, says that this year, the fair will be split into sectors: water and sewage; energy and renewable energy; climate changes; waste and recycling; air, noise and vibrations; measurement and control equipment; and environmental education.
“This year we are really happy to offer visitors loads of options: the Clean Energy Salon – to discuss renewable energy, the Recycling Salon – to discuss what to do with garbage, and many other options,” stated Wojciechowski.
Both governmental and non-governmental organizations are involved in the fair. Group expositions were prepared by Denmark, France, Ireland, Switzerland and Sweden.
POLEKO preceded the United Nations Climate Summit that will also take place in Poznan between 1-12 December this year.
