Getting to and from the airport

By taxi

The easiest and most convenient, though not the cheapest, way of getting from the airport to the centre (and vice versa) is taking a taxi. The taxi ranks are situated close to the Arrival Hall exit. The taxi operator is Radio Taxi 919 MPT. The phone numner is 919.

By bus

A cheaper option is use public bus services offered by City Public Transport Company (MPK). There are a few bus routes to choose from:
  • a regular No. 59 bus (Poznan Airport – Baltyk /Kaponiera Roundabout/),
  • an express L bus (Poznan Airport – Dworzec Glowny /Main Railway Station),
  • a regular No. 48 bus (Wyszeborska – Baltyk /Kaponiera Roundabout/) and
  • a night bus No. 242 (Poznan Airport – Dworzec Glowny /Main Railway Station/).
The bus stops are situated next to the Passenger Terminal way-in/entrance. Only the No. 242
bus stop is 200 metres away from the Terminal.

The journey takes about half an hour or 20 minutes (if taking the L bus route).

The frequency with which the buses run varies between routes and is as follows:
  • No. 59 bus runs twice or even three times (during the rush hour) per hour from 5.05 a.m. till 10.55 p.m.
  • The L bus runs once an hour (from 5.20 in the morning till 10.15 p.m.at night) on weekdays, at weekends and on public holidays.
  • No. 48 bus runs twice an hour (from 5.17 in the morning till 10.47 p.m. at night).
  • The No. 242 night bus operates once an hour (from 11.52 p.m. till 4.52 in the morning).
The frequency also depends on the day of week (with more buses running on week days).
