The eleventh national meeting of Christian youth is taking place at Lednica, Westerm Poland. Hundreds of thousands of young people have arrived to Lednica, where open air services, celebrations, prayers and vigils will be held over the weekend.
This year's meeting is devoted to St. Hyacinth, who brought the Dominican order to Poland, as this year is the 7 hundred fiftieth anniversary of his death.
Pope Benedict 16th addressed the crowds in a special broadcast from the Vatican. "I wish you the apostolic courage and enthusiasm, such as that of St. Hyacinth, our special patron," said the Pope.

Lednica is the largest Polish prayer meeting of Christian youth. It is organized by the Academic Chaplaincy run by the Dominican Order in Poznan, western Poland. The next meeting is scheduled to take place in June next year.
