Tourist Bus/Train/Tram Lines

If staying in Poznan between April 28th and October 14th, 2007 an attractive way of sightseeing Poznan, especially the Maltanka Lake and its picturesque environs, worth recommending is taking MALTANKA Park Railway.

This unique 600 mm narrow gauge railway is one of the very few railways in Poland which have survived till the present day. The train leaves from Maltanka station located near the Srodka Roundabout (Rondo Srodka) from 10 a.m. till 7 p.m. every day. The frequency is as follows: one train every hour on weekdays and one train every half an hour (weekend and public holidays). Its destination is Zwierzyniec situated close to the zoo. While on the train, one can admire the lake and its shore facilities (Malta ski complex, modern Park Hotel, playgrounds, cycle paths, etc.) The tickets can be bought from the Srodka Roundabout and Zwierzyniec Stations. The fare is PLN 4.50 (full) and PLN 3.00 (reduced for kids under 16 years of age).
