Getting Around Poznan by Ship

| |

If visiting Poznan from May 1st till the end of September, there is an opportunity of going on a cruise along the Warta River. The ship, called ''Jagienka'', is one of the two rare examples of a side wheel paddle steamer. The major cruises are one hour long. From Monday till Thursday the ship goes at 11.00 a.m., 12.30 a.m, 2 p.m., 3.30 p.m. and 5 p.m. From Friday till Sunday instead of the one-hour-long cruise (at 5 p.m.) there is a two-hour-long cruise from 5 till 7 p.m.

The one-hour cruise fare is PLN 12.00 (full) and PLN 9.00 (reduced fare for OAPs, children over 4 years of age, students). If choosing the two-hour-long cruise, the fares are PLN 22 (full) and PLN 16.00 (reduced).

The only problem is the minimum number of people required for a cruise is 15. If coming in a group, it is also possible to hire the ship to reach the outlying tourist attractions of Poznan.

The ship departs from the quay situated close to the Poznan Cathedral.
