St. Marcin's Day

The St. Marcin's Day is celebrated in Poznan on 11 November. The main thoroughfare of Poznan is named after him. On that day in Sw. Marcin Street, visitors can see St. Marcin on horseback wearing the ancient Roman armour. He is followed by a colourful procession. The procession starts at the church of his name to the castle. Apart from St. Marcin's procession, the festival comprises fairs, concerts, theatre performances and fireworks.
