Ethno Port Festival
Eminent figures of the world music scene will come to Poznań answering an invitation of Zamek Culture Centre, who organizes the Ethno Port Poznań. The second edition of the event /12th-14th June 2009/ will feature Mari Boine, Iva Bittowa & Lisa Moore, Transglobal Underground, Taraf De Haidouks , Djivan Gasparyan, Habib Koité & Bamada i Houria Aïchi & L’Hijâz’Car. Obviously, Polish artists won’t be left out. Our special guests, representatives of international media and folk music associations will have the opportunity to ecome acquainted with what Polish groups have to offer – among these, Joanna Słowińska and groups Żywiołak and Alamut.
Ethno Port Poznań, a festival providing a venue for artists creating within the world music current, is a project organised by “Zamek” Culture Centre in Poznań. The city held the first edition of the festival in 2008.
