Every year in June the streets and squares of Poznan as well as the Maltanskie Lake is transformed into a theatre scene. For five days in theatres across the city as well in outdoor venues there are both Polish and international theatre performances.
The festival was first launched in 1991 to promote off-the-mainstream theatres. It has featured theatre performances experimanting with form, featuring the elements of theatre, dance and acrobatics.
This year the festival takes place from 23 to 28 June. For more information visit the festival's website at: www.malta-festival.pl
